We’re excited to announce that as of last month, Lucas Willis has stepped into the role of Manufacturing Team Lead at Baer!
Since joining Hunt Electric in 2021 as an Estimator, Lucas has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, and a strong commitment to delivering quality results. In 2024, he moved over to Baer Manufacturing, and in his new role, Lucas will oversee all estimating efforts and lead improvements to the estimating process at Baer. As Baer continues to grow, this role will be essential in ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely pricing.
Lucas began his career in the Minnesota Air National Guard at just 17 years old. After completing basic training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in early 2020, Lucas got a job traveling across Minnesota installing and servicing home generator units. Later that year, he enrolled at Dunwoody College in Minneapolis, where he discovered his passion for electrical construction and design. A summer internship at Hunt in 2021 marked the beginning of his journey with the company, and he has been a valued team member ever since.
Lucas credits his interest in electrical construction to his father’s 30+ years of experience in the industry. Encouraged to explore the business side of construction, he pursued the Electrical Construction Design & Management (ECDM) program at Dunwoody College, which set the foundation for his career.
During his time at Hunt/Baer, Lucas provided estimates on a variety of projects. He has enjoyed the challenge of learning and mastering estimating software, learning industry standards, and pushing his skills to new heights.
For Lucas, Baer stands out because of its people, culture, and options for career growth. “Hunt and Baer have great people, many of whom have helped me get to where I am today. The opportunities here are endless, and the benefits, like ESOP and healthcare, are pretty dang good!”
In his new role, Lucas is most excited about continuing to improve the team and making Bear the best it can be!
